Your hunt with Williamson Outfitters is right around the corner! Here are a few things to go over before you arrive:
- Everyone participating in the hunt must sign a digital waiver, please click on the following link:

- Lodging: $75/night per person (plus a $25 Cleaning Fee per room)
- Half Day Hunt: $250 per person
- Full Day Hunt: $450 per person
- Layout Boat Hunt: $300 per person
- Cast-N-Blast: $500 per person
- Bird Cleaning Fee: $3.00 per bird
- Duck Taxidermy: $375 (add $100 for 45 day service)
- Balances are due at the end of your chartered trip with Williamson Outfitters; all balances to be paid directly to Capt Chris (cell 850-251-8650). We accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, & CashApp (+3% for all electronic transactions). No checks please.
- Customary tipping is 20-25%, please pay tips in cash directly to your guide.
- Groups with only 2 or 3 people may be combined with another similar size group. Only groups of 4 or more hunters are guaranteed exclusive hunts.
- Everyone MUST bring waders and gun cases. We will have Tidwe waders for sale at the main lodge as well as soft gun cases.

- Everyone hunting must have all proper Florida/Federal permits & licenses: CLICK HERE
- Anyone 16 years old or older MUST have all 4 of the following to duck hunt in Florida:
- Florida hunting license
- Florida waterfowl permit
- Florida migratory permit (HIP)
- Federal Duck Stamp
- Recommended shell size: 3” #2 non-toxic (12 or 20 gauge shotgun with modified or full chokes; all shotguns MUST be plugged for 3 shell max capacity). Have at least 2 boxes of shells per person per hunt. NO LEAD SHOT!!
- If you would like your ducks cleaned there is a “Duck Cleaning Fee” of $3.00 per duck. This is to be paid directly to your guide.
- Methods of hunting include traditional ground blinds, boat blinds, layout boat hunts, and wade blinds. Due to the high likelihood of getting wet (and cold), everyone participating in the hunt must bring waders (we will have waders for sale at the main lodge if needed).
- If you’re lodging with us, Check-in time is anytime after 4pm and check-out is by 10am (unless instructed otherwise).
- For folks lodging with us, we will have snacks & beverages available, however plan to bring your own food & drinks. Dinner is served at the lodge around 7pm (included in your lodging). There are also several restaurants and grocery stores near the lodge; full kitchen available at the lodge.
- If you're looking to book a hotel room or Airbnb, search "Apalachicola" or "St. George Island".
- We will text you around 7pm the evening before your hunt with instructions of time/place to meet your guide for your hunt.
- If you’re bringing your own duck dog we ask that you bring your kennel & have their shots/vaccines up to date (if your dog has any contagious illness or is prone to bite we ask that you please leave your dog at home). Only dogs that are house-trained are allowed inside the lodge. Check out our “FAQ page” for more information about bringing your own dog.
- Bag Limit ('25/'26 Season) - No more of the following species may be taken towards aggregate 6-duck daily bag limit: 4 mallards (of which only 2 can be female), 1 mottled duck (Florida duck), Mottled duck/mallard hybrids do not have a separate bag limit but shall be considered either a mallard or mottled duck., 4 sea ducks (of which no more than 3 may be scoters, long-tailed ducks, or eiders and no more than 1 may be a female eider), 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 2 black ducks, 2 canvasbacks, 3 pintails, 1 fulvous whistling-duck, 1 scaup from Nov. 22-30 and Dec. 6 – Jan. 5, 2 scaup from Jan. 6-25 and during Youth and Veteran/Military waterfowl hunt days.
- All other species not listed above – up to 6 total may be taken towards daily bag limit (single species or aggregate). (American wigeon, black-bellied whistling ducks, blue-winged teal, bufflehead, cinnamon teal, gadwall, green-winged teal, goldeneye, Muscovy ducks, northern shoveler, ring-necked ducks, ruddy ducks). - We strive hard to keep the lodge clean during duck season, please help us by taking your shoes/boots off at the door.
- World class taxidermy for your trophy birds is available through Marshall’s Taxidermy located just a couple miles from the lodge: $375 per duck for 12 month service or $475 per duck for 45 day service (delivery & shipping options are available), https://www.marshallstaxidermy.com/
- VERY IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that you will be hunting on public land. There are many things out of our control like weather, tide, movement of waterfowl, and other hunters in the area. Our guides work extremely hard to keep all of our clients on birds and provide the best experience possible.
- NO GUARANTEES: Williamson Outfitters provides hunting and fishing charters with the understanding that nature is unpredictable, and therefore, we offer no guarantee on specific catch or game outcomes. While we strive to provide an exceptional experience, factors such as weather conditions and wildlife behavior are beyond our control. Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor activities, and Williamson Outfitters is not liable for any variations in the success of the trip.
- ZERO TOLERANCE for fighting, unsafe use of firearms, shooting at or killing protected wildlife, over limiting on ducks including shooting other hunter’s limits, illegal drug use, horseplay on boat while traveling, or anything else deemed illegal or unsafe. Our number one goal is always safety and providing a great experience! If you or anyone in your party disregards this policy your hunt will immediately end and you will still be responsible for paying the balance of your booking.
